Summary

Manages the financial and regulatory compliance of the company by supporting the COO/CFO in areas of accounting, budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting and analysis. Ensures adherence to GAAP and helps establish, maintain and strengthen financial policies and procedures, internal controls and reporting systems.

Summary

Capital Public Radio is looking for a full-time Senior News Editor to join its award-winning and fast-growing team. As one of CapRadio's newsroom leaders, the Senior News Editor wears several hats:

helps assign, oversee and edit daily news coverage for broadcast, digital and other platforms edits feature stories and enterprise projects, and works with reporters to develop concepts collaborates on ''big picture'' goals and special projects, such as election coverage and podcasts is an essential player when it comes to team-building and developing reporter skills occasionally gets in the trenches and delivers daily news stories, two-way interviews and features; anchors CapRadio newscasts; and makes appearances on CapRadio ''talk'' programs such as Insight We are looking for an experienced journalist with clear-headed news judgment and several years of editorial experience. Instincts for what distinguishes a ''public radio story'' are essential.

Relationships matter, and the Senior News Editor needs to be someone who supports CapRadio staff via meetings and one-on-one check-ins.

Capital Public Radio is offering an opportunity to cover the Golden State's government and politics - including its ''Super Tuesday'' presidential primary in March and next year's election - as a full-time Politics Reporter on its award-winning and fast-growing team.

This reporter will be one of CapRadio's lead journalists covering the state Capitol, including the governor's office, lawmakers and the legislative session.

The position requires a nimble journalist who is adept at cultivating sources and identifying what matters in a quick-moving political environment.

Regular weekday hours and scheduled weekend shift every other weekend.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have excellent social media skills, good computer, communications and social networking skills. This position requires an articulate, creative self-starter with a professional attitude and engaging personality that attracts listeners. Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems;
  • Ability to provide level 1 and 2 helpdesk support to end users in a Windows 10 environment;
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and O365
  • Knowledge of IP Networking, TCP/UDP protocol and commonly used concepts, best practices, and procedures;
  • Associates degree or three years of end user support experience;
  • Knowledge of SharePoint & Apple OS is a plus.
  • Experience with WideOrbit Radio Automation software is preferred, but not required;
