Program Director

Power 98.3, one of the country's most recognized Hip-Hop and R&B brands is seeking a seasoned Program Director with major market experience and a keen sense of the format to lead the station forward. This individual will be tasked to develop and expand KKFR's brand position to achieve a top 10 rank in target demos. The Program Director may be responsible for an on-air shift, music scheduling duties and creating promotional offerings to enhance listenership as well as support sales initiatives. No Calls. Applicants should provide a programming philosophy along with a current CV and air check audio if applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect the license
  • Schedule/reconcile daily music log (MusicMaster). Enhance and maintain library
  • Be completely familiar with Wide Orbit, Voxpro and other cursory studio/broadcast equipment
  • Communicate effectively with Sales Department to integrate sales initiatives and create opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Craft and execute station promotions utilizing the Promotions Department
  • Schedule and regulate Part-time Air Staff
  • Collaborate with fellow Program Directors to improve cluster performance and seek out new opportunities.

Education: NA Related Work Experience: Minimum 5 years on-air and programming experience in a major market.
