Program Director - AAA Sun Radio

In a city where live music is part of the daily conversation, a heritage, critically acclaimed Sun Radio in Austin is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead programming in one of the country's most competitive and music-driven markets. This is a hands-on leadership role for a programmer who understands AAA, develops talent, and knows how to connect great music with audiences on-air, online, and throughout the community. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3 years experience as a AAA PD or APD
• 3 years as an on-air talent
• A proven ability to coach and motivate air staff
• Working knowledge of social media and web content strategies
• Experience with event marketing, appearances, and supporting the sales team
• Proficiency with G-Selector and Nielsen Media Research
• The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Setting and executing a clear AAA programming vision that resonates in a live-music-forward market
• Hiring, coaching, and leading on-air talent by example
• Music selection that drives top-tier ratings, independent of local influence circles
• Advising and supporting other formats within the company
• Ensuring FCC compliance through ongoing staff training
• Playing an active role in building a growing, mission-driven company
