Responsibilities
- Air shift 6a-10a. Establishes relationship with listeners by providing entertainment and/or information of interest consistent with format, genre, and targeted demographic audience. Prepares for an air shift using creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting on-air material. Ensures logged commercials, promotions and any other programming essential to the stations operation are aired. Handles emergency on air breaking weather and news events. Participates in required station Programming, Promotions, and staff meetings and events. Makes regular approved appearances at paid and non-paid station events; serves as ambassador for the radio station(s) when out in public. Executes only the interviews and events on air that are approved by Program Director; follows designated show format. Assists with voice over and production of paid and non-paid spots required to run on the station. Finalizes content using digital audio editing software. Does daily Facebook LIVE video on station Facebook page. Finds and shares relatable content for station Facebook page. Checks studio equipment for proper functioning and notifies Engineering of technical malfunctions affecting quality of the broadcast.
- Proficient in Adobe Audition and social networking Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations Socially informed and perceptive; up-to-date and in tune daily with the local and national trends and/or specialized knowledge of topics/events related to on-air discussions
- 5+ years of on-air radio experience required Audio demo of on-air work, interviews and weather coverage.

Chief Engineer

We are looking for an experienced broadcast engineering professional who is passionate about radio. The CE will manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of studio, transmitting and ancillary equipment in order to maintain a competitive signal within the market, while complying with all FCC technical requirements. This person will be responsible for telecommunications, networking systems, computer, and IT desktop support.
The main focus of this role will be maintaining station operations, control consuls, audio routers, recording equipment, microphones, digital audio systems, AM/FM transmitters, antennas, control systems, remote equipment, and other broadcast related equipment. This requires the compliance with FCC rules and regulations, department budgeting, and the ability to be on-call as needed.
Minimum Position Requirements: · 5+ years' experience as a Chief Broadcast Engineer in radio. An Assistant CE will be considered with tenured experience of at least 7+ years in a larger radio operation. · Valid Driver's license, use of vehicle with insurance, and clean driving record is required. · Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary and lift 60lbs or more. · This position will require a full relocation.

Audio Engineers
- Responsible for all aspects of audio board operations for KWAM Radio as well as the Nationally syndicated Todd Starnes Show. Collaborate with talent and production staff to produce audio elements to brand daily radio shows and podcasts. Assist engineering with troubleshooting technical problems relating to show equipment. Assist in preparation of program commercial logs for syndicated and local programming. Load/Edit all show prep audio needed to run during live shows. Edit/Upload daily Podcasts as well as edit weekly shows to be used as ''best of'' shows. Be available to set up and work live remotes and events.
- Extremely organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks while being attentive to details.Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work in a diverse environment. Creative problem solving to make spontaneous decisions under time constraints. Strong technical skills including knowledge of basic audio editing with Adobe Audition. Dependable with flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed in order to support syndicated show(s) demands. High level of creativity and ability to develop show concepts. Ability to operate Microsoft based and Apple based computers. Knowledge of Simian and Opx a plus. Previous radio or TV experience a plus. Syndicated Network experience a plus.
