Promotions Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: Beasley Media Group Tampa Bay is searching for a full time Promotions Director for Q105 WRBQ-FM (Classic Hits) and 98.7 The Shark WPBB-FM (Classic Rock). The ideal candidate will lead the Promotions department and must be enthusiastic, organized and able to balance a multitude of tasks. The Promotions Director will plan and oversee station events, concerts, promotional activities and special projects for the radio stations in the Tampa Market. They will assist the digital department in growing our digital and social reach while coming up with new sales opportunities; Recruit, develop and retain outstanding promotions staff employees; Act as company liaison with event organizers and on-site contacts to plan on-site activities; Coordinate Agreements and secure permits, certificates of insurance and other necessary documentation as needed for events; Coordinate live broadcast events with on-site entities, engineering department and talent; Will be the Administrator of all department paperwork and files inclusive of contest rules, contracts, purchase orders and invoices; Communicate with promotions, programming and sales department on a daily basis; Oversee the maintenance of vehicle fleet, on-site and sound equipment; Maintain compliance and prize distribution to listeners; Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors and community leaders; Assist the sales team in growing existing accounts and generating new business through the creation of non-traditional revenue opportunities; Schedule talent for events; Manage a budget for merchandise promotions and items; Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve Station objectives while managing designated budgets; Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Qualifications:

Promotions Event Support PT

Job Summary: Assists the promotions or marketing departments with daily activities that promote the station(s), clients or events.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with multiple departments to create and execute promotions such as remotes, events, van hits and other street team activities from start to finish.
  • Drives promotional vehicles.
  • Performs basic office administrative functions as needed.
  • Conducts on-site promotions, and handles clients and listeners.
  • Sets up and runs audio and other types of equipment; hangs banners and other staging elements.
  • Records events (i.e. photos, videos, audio and social media measures for station promotions).
  • Sets up, breaks down and transports promotional event equipment as required.
  • Coordinate and oversee on-site appearances, remotes and events.
  • May be responsible for all winner prize fulfillment and release forms.

Description: Beasley Media Group Tampa Bay is seeking a Promotions Coordinator to manage many of the day-to-day operations for 99.5 QYK (WQYK), Q105 (WRBQ) & 98.7 The Shark (WPBB) with strong organization & communication skills. The Promotions Coordinator will assist the Promotion Directors of all three stations.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Create and maintain staff schedules for events, remotes & appearances.
  • Obtain and process time sheets for payroll office.
  • Create event bins for station remotes and appearances.
  • Provide details to staff and on-air talent for station remotes and appearances.
  • Event management for all major station events.
  • Weekly Fleet Management for all stations in Tampa Cluster.
  • Event listings for all remotes for WQYK, WRBQ and WPBB websites.
  • Assisting the Non-Traditional Revenue (NTR) department on major station/cluster events.
Qualifications
  • Promotions Assistant/Street Team experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of audio and technical equipment (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Photoshop (preferred).
  • The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, committed to delivering flawless work while maintaining a high level of energy, commitment and passion for results.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong sense of customer service in person, via email and on the phone.
  • Available as needed including nights, weekends and holidays.
