Programmer & Production Specialist

Eagle Communications in Hutchinson, KS, is currently hiring a full-time Programmer. This position includes an on-air shift, production and live remotes for our local radio stations.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hosting a live morning show
  • Voicing and producing commercials for local clients
  • Occasional severe weather coverage
  • Attract and grow audience share, ratings, and revenue
  • Relationship building is a must - having relationships with community, co-workers, listeners and clients
  • Monitor stations programming and activities in conformance with FCC rules and regulations, Company policy and applicable Federal, State and Local laws
Other responsibilities include the performance of live broadcasts; monitoring the music and the commercial logs for the airshift; operating the control board; production work; personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts; other duties as required by management.

Experience: Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of on-air and production experience. The right candidate should have a level of comfort with any format as on-air opportunities potentially exist outside of the candidate's primary station.

P.D., A.P.D. or M.D. experience preferred. The right candidate will also have experience hosting a morning show with live interviews, contesting and phone calls.

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation and Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
