Job description If you are a ''sports know it all'' then this is a great opportunity for you! Part-time position immediately available for a local Phoenix area radio station. Position is primarily Monday thru Friday in the afternoons. This is a position that can also include being on mic as a part of a very dynamic and fun drive time show. There will also be periodic fill in hours providing programming, production, and control board operation for our stations. We're looking for a talented, trustworthy person to help make our stations sound great!

Candidate will be responsible for running the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs, following all applicable laws and FCC regulations. In addition, you may help administer contests, answer listener phone calls, screen listener calls for live shows, arrange for guest interviews, etc. This is a critical role in the on-air execution of the radio station.

Responsibilities

• Operate audio console and our digital on-air system.
• Creation of engaging digital and social media content for our target audiences.
• Regulates program timing, operates live and syndicated programming, and plays commercials.
• Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room.

Qualifications/Competencies/Skills

• Ability to learn operation of NexGEN digital on-air system, Adobe Audition for audio editing.
• Must demonstrate strong ability for time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Must have a passion for flawless execution
• Works well in a team environment

Work Experience

6 months in a related role and/or technical training is preferred, but is not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 6:30pm (additional hours available)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
