Program Director

AGM California Inc, Santa Maria Office is seeking a Program Director for KPAT/ KBOX stations - this includes a daily on-air shift.   The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in programming, a firm understanding of competitive and winning formatic strategies. Your understanding of social networking, talent development, digital content creation, marketing (on air, on site and online), production and community service must be as superb as your ability to lead your staff by example and consistently deliver a winning on-air product. 

Candidate should have working knowledge of music scheduling software and radio automation systems.  Are you a PD working for a corporate parent that kills your creativity? Are you an APD/MD who needs a first shot? Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Determining type, length and time of programs, songs and/or features and keeping with station format; Evaluating programming available from distributors, syndicators, independent producers to recommend acquisitions for broadcasting; Managing radio stations staff to achieve station performance and ratings goals; Developing and maintaining relationships with recording companies and distributors; Air checking On-Air staff on a regular basis and meeting with staff to review; Updating Public File each quarter; Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance. Selection Criteria: Two years or more of experience as a Program Director preferred. Individual must possess a thorough knowledge of FCC On-Air regulations. Professional demeanor and appearance.
