Promotions Coordinator

The promotions coordinator is the octopus of the media world. You will have a hand in the creation, execution and success of just about everything at our radio stations. If you have an ability to work with multiple projects and departments at the same time, you enjoy using the creative side of your mind, you can manage multiple personalities, opportunities, and deadlines, then this is the position for you!

Previous radio Promotion Coordinator experience is preferred, and bilingual Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Opportunities for growth both in our sales and programming departments arise from being successful in this position. Dependable transportation, clean driving record and proof of insurance are requirements for this position.

Essential Duties: As the Promotions Coordinator, you interact with every department of the radio station. You plan both sales promotions, which generate revenue, and programming promotions, which are aimed at increasing the audience's ''time spent listening'' (TSL) or ‘cumulative audience (cume). Planning to include live broadcast events in public (remote broadcasts), on-air contests, DJ appearances, giveaways, social media engagement, prize fulfillment and so on. You are expected to attend manage and attend all promotional events to make sure everything goes smoothly. As a Promotions Coordinator, you are a vital member of our management team. You are a representative for the station, and must interact often with the public, various officials, and advertisers. It is important that you keep you act as a professional at all times.

You will also be responsible for producing a daily live or voice tracked air shift as well as a second voice tracked shift in your home cluster and/or a sister cluster. Requirements: Be available to work varied hours including evenings and weekends. Have the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty pounds of equipment. Maintain an active driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be eighteen years of age or older. Have working knowledge of social media account maintenance, how to work sound electronics and phone communications equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as outgoing personality and good organizational skills. 3-5 years of on-air experience is preferred.
