Creative Services Manager
He started by creating a death benefit, a credit union and a cooperative gas station. These early efforts quickly grew, and the National Farm Workers Service Center was introduced in 1966 to build affordable housing for the elderly and displaced Filipino-American farmworkers. Cesar Chavez also established two educational-style Spanish-language radio stations, which have now grown into 11 stations.
Today, the National Farm Workers Service Center has become the Cesar Chavez Foundation, which continues to expand on Cesar's early work and vision to create a movement to improve the quality of life for Latinos and working people. Cesar Chavez's vision was ambitious, and a half a century later, the lasting and ongoing effects of his work have transcended even his original aim.
The Cesar Chavez Foundation and Radio Campesina Network is seeking a full-time Creative Services Manager to manage the creative department, where advertisements are conceived, developed, and produced. Talent, writers, and producers work together to craft a message that meets agency and client objectives. This is a full-time position in the Phoenix, Arizona region.
Creative services manager is in charge of managing creative output - from concept to production. Manager is responsible for developing ideas and coordinating with a variety of department executives to ensure a proper vision. Manager works with the creative team to create, plan and deliver a strategic vision for clients. In this role you'll be supervising the entire creative process and guiding the team that works under you. The creative team includes radio/audio-video producers, photographers, copywriters and designers.
Objectives of this Role
Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all Spanish-English radio, web, print, video and digital marketing collateral Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape Outsource services to fulfill the workflow demands of the department Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses Supervise a cross-functional team of radio, graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production staff Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner Collaborate with Digital Director to review and approve work developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address clients' and Communication Fund goals and challenges Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling radio/audio, video, print materials and digital experiences for audiences and users Collaborate with PD on the talent endorsement approvals Skills and Qualifications
10 years of related experience relating to creative services Ability to develop creative campaigns integrating content across channels from radio, video, digital, social media Proven experience with concept development Skilled with leading a team of creative talent Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives in relation to the sales department Bilingual Voice over experience Bachelor's Degree in marketing or business Prior experience with copywriting, design, or production Prior project management experience, with a focus on creative direction.
