SUMMARY: The Promotions Coordinator role is to bring awareness to the stations and engage the listeners regularly, as well as execute all station events and promotions. Develop promotional opportunities and create, plan and execute promotional events to grow the broadcast and digital audience for all stations. Work alongside the Programming and Sales Departments to implement promotional plans.
Stations Promotions & Contesting: Responsible for coordinating and executing all station promotions, events and contesting. Oversee creation of winner sheets, prize fulfillments and general contest implementation. Management of updating contest rules, on-air and online on a regular basis. Responsible for creating and updating liner cards and schedules. Communicates with on-air staff on current promotions and contesting, as well as provides paperwork needed to do so. Coordinates all aspects of station and client remotes, including providing instructions to promotions staff and on-air staff present as well as updating station social media accounts.
Event Preparation: Responsible for coordination and procurement of all items needed for all off-site promotions and events, such as: coordinating venue needs, vendor needs, festival needs, etc. (including assisting with artist/talent needs for events). Responsible for creating ROI reports for each station event, such as concerts, to provide to management. Required to work off-site events during the week and on weekends as needed. Must be available to be at all major station events. Responsible for creating and updating the events calendar for each station.
Mobile App/Station Web: Responsible for communicating all information, including proof-reading, of all station web and mobile application content. Works with web master to provide graphics and images to do so.
Sales Promotions Packages: Responsible to create sales friendly promotions packages and one-sheets; works alongside the Sales Manager and Program Directors of the stations to create sellable packages and promotions for the station sales staff. Provide event recap (including photos and reports) for stations and clients. Responsible for creating sponsorship packages for station events and coordinating sponsor needs.
Excellent Spanish written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented and well organized with excellent communication skills
Able to handle multiple challenges and be able to work well under pressure
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook software
Radio and/or event promotions or similar experience required
