WIXX Studio Coordinator / Announcer & Social Media Guru Wanted!

Are you a night-owl with a passion for pop music and a knack for engaging social media content?

The number one radio station in northeast Wisconsin, 101 WIXX, is looking for an overnight / early-morning studio coordinator/ announcer who can keep our listeners entertained and seamlessly transition into assisting the morning show's social media buzz.

Responsibilities:

• Provide regular on-air updates with timely / local information.
• Create and deliver entertaining and engaging content for our social media audience.
• Create and schedule social media content for the morning show, ensuring a strong online presence.
• Monitor social media channels and interact with listeners, responding to comments and messages.
• Collaborate with the morning show team to develop creative social media campaigns and promotions.
• Repackage and distribute morning show's content via station social channels.
• Assist with other on-air duties as needed, including promotions and events.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Understanding of social media user habits, trends and effective ways to reach specific demographic targets.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills in a public setting.
• Ability to work overnight / early morning shifts.
• Previous experience as a radio host with a marketing and/or communications background preferred but not required.
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content both on-air and online.
• Familiarity with northeast Wisconsin culture, pop music and current trends in the industry.
