The Sales Associate position is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and driven to be successful and learn every facet of marketing and advertising sales. While working with seasoned Advertising Account Executives, you will find new business, participate in sales calls and assist in designing advertising and marketing campaigns and sales presentations. You will receive hands-on experience in how marketing campaigns are created, pitched and executed. The skills you learn will provide you a solid foundation to prepare you for a successful career as an Advertising Account Executive.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business customers to contribute to the attainment of sales quotas
  • Develop a high level of working knowledge about our products
  • Develop television and digital advertising and marketing campaigns for new businesses and current clients
  • Generate new business leads by prospecting and making cold calls to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Create and present customized sales presentations/proposals and successfully close negotiations

  • 1+ year of experience in related field (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Sales Support, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations
  • Valid driving license, good driving record and reliable transportation
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly preferred (Marketing, Business, Communications).
  • Solid understanding of marketing principals and applications in business
  • Interactive Advertising Bureau Certification and/or Google Ad Words Certified a plus

Candidates should be eager to learn and take on responsibilities and be accountable for their outcomes. Individuals should be outgoing and professional as the position consists of interactions between departments at our Denver affiliates as well as contact with clients and listeners through local remotes and events. Responsibilities consist of tasks such as assisting in local spot production of promotional announcements and or script writing, assisting talent for live local remotes/events with setup and tear down of tents, distribution of prizes to listeners, interaction with other promotions departments to help with events.

Job Requirements/Qualifications: The position requires people who possess some computer skills with a Windows PC environment including MS Office, a reliable self-starter who learns quickly and has good communication skills, and a high level of organization and time management skills with attention to detail. Should be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Ability to work on and manage several projects at once under deadlines. Bilingual English/Spanish required. They must have a current valid Colorado driver's license and have the availability to work weekends, nights and holidays. Well-qualified candidates should also have some experience with Television Production, as this position will assist in the following areas as needed 1 day per week: Videography, commercial editing, conceptualizing commercial content, and field and/or studio production. Software experience with Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and Audition. Candidate should also have an understanding or skills in using video cameras, TV lighting and video equipment. The most important requirement is that you must be a hard worker who is passionate about the culture, music on our stations and our artists.
